Jazz aux Décades 2026 in Roquefort-les-Pins: 5 km from Hôtel du Clos
There are festivals that seem made for their setting. Jazz aux Décades, first edition, on 8 and 9 August 2026 in Roquefort-les-Pins: a pine forest, a village garden, four high-calibre jazz acts, and a village in the Pays de Grasse hinterland discovering a new summer calling. Five kilometres from Le Rouret, it is the closest jazz festival the Hôtel du Clos could have hoped for.
The Programme: Four Concerts, Two Evenings
The Jardin des Décades opens at 7pm each evening. Food trucks are on site from the start — time to settle in before the first sets.
Saturday 8 August
At 8:30pm, the Shai Maestro Trio opens the festival. The Israeli pianist — Shai Maestro on piano, Oren Hardy on double bass, Francesco Ciniglio on drums — is one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary jazz: music that moves between chamber lyricism and rhythmic tension, with considerable formal precision.
At 10pm, Ludovic Louis takes over with his band — trumpet, bass, keyboards, guitar, drums. A funk- and soul-driven trumpet jazz, direct and physical, at the opposite end of the spectrum from the preceding set. The pairing of the two acts captures the festival’s ambition well: no single colour, no easy consensus.
Sunday 9 August
At 8:30pm, Fred Nardin & Friends — with trumpeter Raynald Colom and Cuban percussionist Inor Sotolongo announced as part of the lineup. Fred Nardin is one of the most active French pianists on the current scene; the addition of Colom and Sotolongo promises an evening that extends well beyond the piano trio format.
At 10pm, Stefano Di Battista closes the festival with a quintet featuring André Ceccarelli on drums — a long-standing partnership between the Italian saxophonist and the Niçois drummer, one of the most seasoned pairings in Mediterranean jazz. A closing concert that has all the hallmarks of a landmark moment for a debut edition.

Why This First Edition Deserves Attention
Jazz aux Décades is a new municipal festival, launched by the commune of Roquefort-les-Pins. The first thing worth noting is that the programme makes no concessions to the obvious. Shai Maestro, Fred Nardin, Stefano Di Battista and André Ceccarelli are artists who regularly perform in major venues and festivals. Jazz aux Décades falls in the same week as the Fête du Jasmin in Grasse (31 July – 2 August), just 10 kilometres away. A stay from Le Rouret makes it easy to combine both: Grasse and perfume, Roquefort-les-Pins and jazz. In between, the hills, the Provençal markets, and the Fondation Maeght twenty minutes away.
Book directly on our website for the period 31 July to 10 August — the combination of jasmine and jazz is one of the most distinctive propositions the Pays de Grasse hinterland has to offer this summer.
