A review by yesicannes.com
At the Hôtel du Clos*** in Le Rouret, Annik and Guy Garnier invited the artists IcKasso and Alexy-Louis Garnier to spend a weekend in a calm and soothing haven of greenery.
The summer art exhibition held on 17 and 18 June 2023 in this haven of calm and greenery in Le Rouret featured works by sculptor and painter IcKasso and photographer Alexy-Louis Garnier. In symbiosis with its verdant surroundings, this superb open-air exhibition invited visitors to take a fresh look at this exceptional green setting dotted with works of art as they strolled through the countryside, facing the majestic 19th-century stone bastide.

Through her painted sculptures, Isabelle Conrozier Kassovic depicts a colourful world where love rhymes with humour. Her terracotta works, all unique and faceless, are created in her studio in Le Rouret near Grasse. Les Demoiselles d’Isabelle, stylised female sculptures painted in acrylic, are created under the artistic signature of IcKasso, while the Classics Kassovic, classical female sculptures in bronze, display their sensuality with serenity.

Photographer Alexis-Louis Garnier, whose hobby is travelling the world, took visitors on a magnificent journey through photographs taken during his escapades across the United States – such as those taken in the heart of Manhattan – including New York’s famous sciurus carolinensis squirrel, W 57th St and 7th Ave (New York), a superb sunset taken from the Brooklyn Bridge and Philadelphia’s Finding Home Mural. Passionate about nature and animals, Alexis has travelled the length and breadth of the Arctic Circle in complete autonomy. From his journey he has brought back some magnificent photos, including one of a family of reindeer taken 300 metres away under a garden tarpaulin.
